The Word and Prayer Conference is a yearly programme at TACSFON OOU where students come together to charge themselves up with prayer and also feed more on the Word of God.

Bible Texts

Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.

1 John 2:15-16 (KJV)

Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God.

James 4:4 (KJV)

Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you,

2 Corinthians 6:17 (KJV)

Key Points – Friday Evening Session

  • The summary of the world can be categorised into 3 things as seen in 1 John 2:16.
  • You need to separate yourself from the world because the world is a place of condemnation.
  • You must separate yourself from the world if you don’t want to be God’s enemy.
  • The moment the devil was thrown away from heaven, devil has become the ruler of this earth.
  • The only thing that will move the Lord is your obedience.
  • God is coming back for people who don’t have an identity in the world.

  • You can only access what christ has given when you are born again
  • When you receive Jesus you receive the power to say no to sin
  • Don’t give room for the devil through sin
  • The life of sin is the life of ‘I’
  • Jesus should be living in us as a Christian; that is the whole essence of Christianity
  • Whatever you sow now the result will come in the future
  • Taking up our cross this day is not daily but per seconds
  • When you are dead, it is Jesus that is living in you
  • Once you are dead you don’t have ambition because it is no longer you but christ that lives in you
  • Being free from sin does not mean there will not be temptations.
