This is the word session delivered on the first Sunday of November 2022 at the TACSFON OOU Ago Iwoye by the President, Bro Micheal Jokodola on the 6th of November, 2022

John 14: 16-17 (KJV)

16 And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever;

17 Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.

1 John 5:7 (KJV)

7 For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one.

Romans 8:26 (KJV)

Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.

Steps in receiving the Holy Spirit

  1. You don’t need to do anything before you can receive the Spirit.
  2. So far you are saved you can receive the Spirit of God.
  3. You don’t need to tarry long before you can receive the Spirit of God.

Key Points

  • You need the Holy Ghost more than the way Holy Ghost needs you.
  • We should conscious of the things of the Spirit
  • When you pray in the spirit, you will be able to pray the mind of the Father
  • We should desire to be filled with the Spirit of God.
  • Don’t see the Holy Spirit as someone of lesser value.
  • You don’t need to be holy before you can receive the Spirit of God.
